Our Story
It all began at a fateful jury duty meeting in St Albans back in 2011. Having worked together for over 10 years, Jenna and Owen enjoyed fast-track careers at a large multinational recruitment company before launching the London office for a small boutique. Bored of old age thinking and seeing many recruitment start ups dust off the same old handbook, they launched Mackie Myers to challenge the status quo and set about building a great recruitment business.
Our mission is to challenge the status quo of recruitment and bring great people together
Our Leadership Team
Our leadership team has over 40 years’ experience recruiting finance and corporate service roles across multiple sectors and locations. Combined, we have led multi-disciplinary teams of over 80 fee earners recruiting over 1500 jobs a year. We have a down to earth approach, focusing on making the recruitment process as smooth as possible for all parties whilst never compromising on quality outcomes.
Co-founder of the business after twelve years proven experience in the industry. I lead on senior retained client engagements, drive the strategy of the business and act as company CFO/COO. Out of work I am a father of two, village cricketer, school governor and a pretty big deal on the local dads social scene.
Co-founder of the business, focussing on retained senior appointments within our consumer practice. As company CRO, I lead on the marketing strategy, people and culture. Outside the office you can normally find me out and about with friends in Victoria Park, or getting my head around life as a new Mum.
With over nine years’ proven experience in the industry, I head up the interim practice across multiple sector verticals. Out of the office you can find me out and about with friends or one of my six brothers, exploring London listening to a podcast or planning my next skiing trip.
Having been a partner to the Not-For-Profit sector for over eight years, I am developing our NFP practice by leading on senior interim engagements. Outside of recruitment, if I’m not taking myself on a run, I will be found planning my next trip abroad or eating my way around new local restaurants with friends and family.
Social Responsibility
Social responsibility is much more than fundraising to us, it is engrained in our day-to-day business.
Diversity
As recruiters, it is our moral duty to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We aim to be at the forefront of this agenda via our partnership with The Diversity Trust.
Climate Change
We are passionate about climate change and use our influence to drive the net zero agenda across our network. With More Trees, we aim to plant over 10,000 trees in less than 5 years, our small contribution towards global carbon capture and biodiversity targets.
Work Life Skills
in volunteering with the Careers and Enterprise Company and various schools directly, we use our expertise in the job market to support education settings in providing work life skills for young adults
